Parents Association Meeting for the 2020-2021

 

Dr. Budiadi (Dean) and Dr. Joko Sulistyo (Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs) attend on virtual meeting of Parents Association for the 2020-2021.

Faculty of Forestry UGM holds annual meeting with the Parents Association (Potma) every year. This annual meeting is a forum for communication related to academics and non-academics between Potma and Faculty Management. In 2021, the meeting between Potma for the 2020-2021 and the management of Faculty of Forestry UGM was held virtually on Wednesday, February 23, 2021 which was attended by 219 parents.

In this meeting, Faculty management presented the admissions of 294 student for the 2020-2021 from 6,186 registrants, education and learning facilities including the Wanagama education forest, and the Getas field campus, the field and scope of four Departments at the Faculty, distribution of study load in the Undergraduate Study Program, learning activities in Semester II 2020/2021 with a blended learning system and the plans for softskills development activities in Wanagama learning and the scope and job profile of alumni. In this semester, the 2020-2021 students will stay on the dormitory on Wanagama Education Forest for for a month to do attending lecture, practice works, global competencies exposure from alumni and professionals, field works and softskill development activities.

In this meeting, The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry warmly welcomed the parents. He hoped that this good communication could be maintained until the students graduated. The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs talked on the admissions of 294 student for the 2020-2021 from 6,186 registrants, education and learning facilities including the Wanagama education forest, and the Getas field campus, the field and scope of four Departments at the Faculty, distribution of study load in the Undergraduate Study Program, learning activities in Semester II 2020/2021 with a blended learning system and the plans for softskills development activities in Wanagama learning and the scope and job profile of alumni. In this semester, the 2020-2021 students will stay on the dormitory on Wanagama Education Forest for for a month to do attending lecture, practice works, global competencies exposure from alumni and professionals, field works and softskill development activities. The Head of Forestry Study Program explained the laboratory facilities that support teaching and learning activities (KBM), semester credit system, the assessment of academic achievement, the selection of major, learning evaluation, grade point average (GPA), the evaluation of study period and graduation. Dr. Emma Soraya as Head of the Forestry Study Program (S1) also explained the 2018 curriculum based on the outcome based education (OBE) which is implemented in the Undergraduate Program at the Faculty of Forestry UGM.
